I've been writing for many years now. I finished my first novel when I was 19, a Harlequin romance, rejected out of hand...my first published fiction was a short story which appeared in an anthology in 1989, and was subsequently broadcast on Radio 4 a couple of years ago. Four of my novels were published by Kensington Zebra until they dropped their Regency line, a fifth was published as an e-book and since then I've written a much-rejected YA fantasy novel (No Vampires...) and was commissioned to write a Georgian-set romp which also has no home (although I was paid an advance).
