OMG teh cute
Tonight after hanging out downstairs with Jenny and the dogs, I came upstairs to find this in my bed:

When I woke her up, she did that jerky thing that babies do with their arms. I told her she had to get up and get into her own bed, and she said, “Okay,” and then tried to get under the covers in here. Most adorable thing EVER.
And for more on the progress of Sweetness and Light, visit here. It’s a beautifully written post – of course, it’s Jenny – but it was also about my kids, so I really loved it. It’s not often you get a portrait of your kids through someone else’s eyes, and it’s really wonderful. Although it’s been a really tough phase in my life, coming to Ohio has been an incredible gift, and I’m so grateful.
Family. Best thing EVER.

Perfect picture. I also loved the dance shot.
Isn’t it amazing to see your kids through other people’s eyes? I don’t have kids of my own, but the same thing happens with the kids I work with daily. I see them through one lens, and another adult sees them through a completely different lens.
I was a single mom for a while when my kids were small and it was so lonely! It’s great that you have Jenny there for support.
